Day 143: Reflection: Settling.

Why are we all settling? Taking jobs and marrying people we never really wanted. And then thinking we have the right to complain. Maybe I’m not a realist. Maybe I’m not logical, but I don’t see why we can’t hold out for the best. Why we can’t wait for something better. Sure, that might never come along. There is always that possibility. But wouldn’t it be better to try and wait, to push yourself for higher standards than to just putz around in a world you don’t belong in? 

Because we live in a world that rewards and caters to mediocrity. Having standards and ambitions can make you sound like an Elitist and no one wants that.
